Best Friends

Hello again :)
How's your week going?  Mine has been pretty good actually.  I haven't done much more other than craftin' but wow, I never really knew that playing with my stamps & my wonderful supplies that it could be such great therapy :)  So I have had a great few days with just having 'me' time :)
 I love it :)

Before I continue, I just want to remind you of the new blog candy I have for you.  Be in the chance to WIN this gorgeous Magnolia Tilda with Big Ribbon Mini stamp :)  You can enter & find out all about it here.
Good luck with it :)

This is Penny with her Teddy.  Isn't she sooo cute?
You can get her from Digital Delights by Louby Lou here.

Penny has helped me to create my new design for my 2nd week at Delightful Challenges & this time the challenge is to create a design with a 'Distressed / Vintage' look.

The great thing is we have a fantastic sponsor this week:

Magnolia-licious is offering Sherwood Edwin & Tilda with Apple Mini Stamps to the winner, so go have some 'me time' at your craft table & get your Distressed/Vintage look entry into our Delightful Challenge here.
Best of luck to you :)

Wow, now this was definately a challenge for me as I have never created anything vintage before lol.  Here is my design.  I hope you like it.

Penny with her Teddy is one of the Digital Delights images that I have used.
I had lots of fun colouring her in with my copics.

I had lots of fun using my new toys.  The Magnolia Doo Hickey & 2 new Spellbinder Nestabilities.  How I mangaged before without some of my new tools is amazing.

I also used the Ticket Sentiment Set from Digital Delights.
The buttons, the DP & cardstock is from my reallllly old stash, so I am glad that I was able to use some of my scraps.  I'm trying really hard to use all those items that have been in my stash for quite sometime.  The DP is K & Company.

I used rope pearls around Penny to help 'pop' her out.
Liquid Pearls is another supply that is new & I just LURVVV the effect that they give.  Gotta get me some more but in different colours :)  Can you recommend any?

I have also added WOC flowers.
More are currently on order & SOOO can't wait to get my parcel :)

The circle lace I picked up from a thrift shop, so that definately came in handy lol.  The stars have been popped up to add dimension.  I was going to use Stickles on them but I thought it would lose the 'vintage look' if I did that.

I also decorated the inside of the card to make it pretty :)

Definately quite a bit of dimension happening lol.
In the image below you can just see that I have used Glossy Accents on Penny's shoes :)  I lurrvvv this stuff too lol.  Have you tried it?   You should :)

I had a fantastic time with this challenge, it realllly helped me step out of the square.  Thanks Wendy :)

Wow OMgosh! You put so much detail into this! This is super adorable and I really love how you framed her with the heart die and stars! Gorgeous! :D

Thanks for stopping by my blog! You asked me about stitching? I don't really do anything special. But just make sure whatever you use to put your cards together, whether it is double sided tape or glue that you don't get any on the area you will want to add stitching to. It will gum up your needle, rip the paper and just get the whole thing snagged up...done it many times...lol. And I usually stitch through a cardstock layer and at least one DP layer...so that it doesn't rip the paper. And my tension is always set to 3. Hope I was able to help? :D

This is adorable. I came over to check out your blog and see what you're about. You had recently left me a really nice message on my blog and I wanted to return the sweet gesture. You had asked if I was using Copic markers - and I was. I don't really remember exactly which ones. Sorry. Anyways, thanks for popping by my blog and I love what you do!! Have a great day. Thanks, Alexis
