Hi everyone,
I hope you are all having a great day :)
I have spent the last 24 hrs making another design to sell on Ebay. I currently have a bid on one of my designs that I put on there a few days ago...so things are going according to plan :) However, this one that I am about to show you, I would have to say is one of my favourites yet. Of course, I have entered this design into a few challenges (which by the way are helping me with my mojo & inspirational creativity). I had SO much fun creating this one. Anyway, here it is:
~ Home Tweet Home ~
No matter how hard I try, I just cant seem to get really good photo's on any of my designs. I think I will have to do some research on the net.
Here is what I did. I put it up against white cardstock (behind it & below laying flat) & placed it on a chair in the sun. I took photos using my digital camera with using the flash & some were taken in natural light. They are still not coming out right. What am I doing wrong? Anyone with any ideas? Please if you have any, the help would be very much appreciated, cos' the photo's are not doing my designs any justice at all.

I am entering Home Tweet Home into the following challenges:
Charisma Cardz # 23 - Spots & Stripes
TSG Clear Stamps # 59 - Worn, Torn or Distressed
Kaboodle Doodles #33 - Dash of Purple
Cute Card Thursday # 116 - Anything but Square
Aud Sentiments # 4 - Hello Friend
I am still waiting on my order from Wild Orchid Crafts so I had to use my punch again.
Tools used: Copics, chalks, Prima flowers & leaves, ribbon, Stickles, Zig pens, Carl & Paper Shapers - EK Success punch, and Fiskars Paper Edgers.
Oh nearly forgot, I used Eyelets too. I haven't used those in a few years.
My Recipe:
DP: Mustard Moon, Bazzill & Doodlebug Design
Copics: R59 & 85
I don't have a bird stamp so with a lot of searching on the net yesterday, I finally found one. I didn't quite achieve the finished effect with the bird that I wanted to but she looks alright for a first attempt lol.
.
There isn't much left that I can tell you other than Home Tweet Home will be on Ebay
& up for auction, so click here to make your bid :)
Thanks for visiting & have a great day everyone :)
Hugs
Lisa

about the photography-issue. I personally am not very fond of using my flashlight for taking photos of my projects.
You might or might not have been to this site before. I have found many tips and tricks here (and inspiration as well) Hope this will be a help to you too.
Good luck!
xx Monica

Have I told you how amazing I think this is?! ;)

Omgosh! This is FANTASTIC! So totally creative! My tips for photographing...don't photograph in direct sunlight (makes for harsh lighting)if in the am, actually move your card out of the sunlight and then photograph, you should have enough ambient light to give it a nice light. Also, try using different background colors, I photograph on cream or black depending on the color intensity of the card, but there are many successful cards shot on alternate colors too. Hope this helps. And, again...your card ROCKS!

Just beautiful! Love all your details. I would recommend not using your flash on your camera and as Robbyn said, don't put your card in direct sunlight, it will create shadow and wash out your creation. Thanks for playing at SPCC.
Deanne :)
This is so lovely - love all the details. Yes - I agree with what others have said - I take my pics in the kitchen (we have under cupboard strip lights to light the work surface) - and I never use flash! It always seems to wash everything out!
