Happy Father's Day Wishes Card Keepsake

Hi everyone :)
Thank you for stopping by & coming to have a browse.
I would also like to thank & welcome all my new followers.  It is nice to know that i'm not 'chatting' to myself lol.

I am extremely excited as I have been asked to be a Guest Designer for ABC Challenges for the month of September.  I am soo thrilled & thank you very much for this wonderful opportunity :)

The next challenge at ABC Challenges is:
W for Wishes.

Well, Father's Day is just around the corner for us in Australia which is on the 2nd September.  So I thought I would create a design to celebrate this wonderful occasion :)

I chose an hAngler & stAngler image to be the spotlight of my design.  I'm not too sure of this cute little boy's name.  Maybe you could enlighten me?  He was such a pleasure to colour :)

This little boy has been out fishing for most of the day & he is obviously very good at it cos' he has brought back a big pail of fish home to his Dad for Father's Day.  Pretty cool hey?  I mean, he couldn't get more lucky if he tried...what with catching a gold fish!! lol

I had a lot of fun putting this design together.
The buttons, spirals, yarn & jute are from my oldies stash.  I was so excited to actually be able to use a whopping ten buttons that have been sitting in my button tray for quite some time :)

The DP is Fancy Pants Designs & the ribbon is from my Really Reasonable Ribbon July Club Assortment (which I get a new & different pack each & every month).  The blue brads are My Minds Eye & was also able to use another four buttons from my oldies stash :)  Woo hoo lol.

The inside has been decorated to compliment the outside of the card keepsake.

I was a bit hesitant with putting flowers on this design due to it being for a man for Father's Day but I think they compliment the design well, don't you?  Besides, the Father should think himself lucky to get flowers on his special day lol.  It's not every day a man gets flowers, right? lol

Oh, did you see the tag?  I forgot to point that out lol.
The Magnolia Doohickey Vintage Tag is a recently purchased gift
to myself :)  What???  .... Well, someone's gotta do it lol.

The sentiment on the tag is computer generated using a free font.

This adorable little boy has fished this design into my

Witch Tilda

Finally, I am able to make this post.

Ever had one of those busy weeks but yet nothing out of the ordinary has happened?

I feel like I have been out & about with so much to do but yet it doesn't really feel like I have accomplished anything lol.  It has been productive but yet nothing to show for it.  Probably because I haven't posted to you guys for a week lol.  Funny how we sometimes put ourselves into a routine & when we change it, we feel lost.  Well, I know I do lol.

I did however manage to get this design finished that I have been procrastinating about for months :)  I'm happy about that :)

Like I mentioned before, I originally coloured in Witch Tilda with my Copics quite a while ago.  I did also put part of the design together but then put it aside only for it to be left for over 12 months lol.  Never again!

I used my new Lovely Fence Magnolia Doohickey for the first time, inked it & then cut it in half.

I was going to have the fence laying flat but as I was about to pick it up to glue it down my finger got stuck underneath it & it lifted from the design & bent itself....Voila!  I thought, hmmm I wonder what it would look like bent out to give a 3D effect.  I think it worked out nicely.

I added the flowers & the whole design seemed to come to life :)

I used ribbon from my stash to go around the edge of the canvas.
I also decorated the inside of the card to compliment the design.

Here's a side view for you :)

Witch Tilda has flown into my

Well, I had better go....
Oh oh oh...nearly forgot to tell you.  I am going to a massive craft fair tomorrow with Zoe.  It is being held at Newcastle Entertainment Centre with HEAPS of stalls :)  It will take us 2 hours to get there but I am sure it will be worthwhile.  Wooo Hoooo....I sooo can't wait :)

I had better get a move on with linking up the challenges or it will be past midnight before I get to bed lol.

Have a fantastic weekend everyone.
Thanks for stopping by & I hope you'll come back soon.

Take care & be safe

Dreamtime's Daily Glimpse - Wednesday

Good morning to all of you lovely people :)

It's been a hectic few days to say the least!
My Daughter, Zoe (12 yrs old), asked me on Saturday whether she could go to the fruit & vegie market with her friend Charlotte & her mum Kathy.  I didn't see a problem with it & gave Zoe $10 to get herself some lunch & also some potatoes for dinner whilst she was there.

She was gone for about 2 hrs when she called me & says,
'Hey Mum, we are on our way back & guess what?  I got you a present.
It's pretty big though'.

Here I am smiling on the other end of the phone & thinking it must be a tall plant, until Zoe says "Mum...It's alive!'.

I sent her to the markets to get some potatoes & she comes back with a RABBIT!!! lol.

Hmmm, a present for me...yeah right! lol  More like, she wanted it for herself & tried to soften me over lol.  However it worked :)

The little baby Dwarf rabbit, who have been named Missy, is absolutely gorgeous to say the least :)  Missy is the smartest little rabbit I have ever seen & she is sooo tame.  She never flinches when you go near or touch her & she loves to be held.

Zoe is now calling herself a Mum & me, Nanny!!  lol
OMG what have I got myself into? lol

Missy is currently living in a box (which she is very close to getting out of by herself) & we now need a rabbits hutch.  Anyone got one that you don't need? LOL

Anyway, I'm sure that I will get around to taking a photo of Missy soon that I can show you :)

Well, I'd better get onto the design at hand.
This is Witch Tilda.

Now, I coloured Tilda in over a year ago & got this far with the design.
Something 'came up' & prevented me to finish it.  I have been looking at this design ever since but I always procrastinate to getting it done but I always end up putting it off.  Well, not today!! lol

It's not that far off Halloween & I would like to have it finished & added to my Etsy shop.  Trouble is, I have got nooo idea on how to finish it lol.  Hmmm, talk about test my mojo lol.

At the moment it's just a topper & I need to convert it into a Card Keepsake.
Decisions, decisions :)  Any ideas?

Righty oh then, I'd better get cracking :)
I'll catch up with you tomorrow.

Ouch! Edwin Card Keepsake - Wall Decor

Wow, talk about have internet problems last night.
I tried updating my blog with my new design but the net was so slow that I decided to wait till this morning.  It's a lot better now thank goodness :)

Before I introduce you to my new design, I just want to remind you of my blog candy.  It expires soon & I don't want you to miss out.  You can enter here.

Finally, I was able to spend a few hours yesterday to complete my new 'Ouch Edwin' Card Keepsake.

The ticket stamps are from Whimsy Stamps.  It's the first time I have used them :)  Check out the helicopter charm dangling by some jute.

This is the actual front of the card.
I am really pleased that I was able to use 8 buttons from my 'oldies' stash :)
I knew I would be able to use them somewhere down the line lol

Here you have the full Card Keepsake - Wall decor for boys.
Edwin looks quite cute in his surroundings I reckon lol.
Not bad for my first boyish design.  I quite enjoyed putting it all together :)

I decorated the inside of the card to compliment the outside.

I ended up using 4 different DP's, distressed the canvas a little bit more to give it more definition.  I wasn't too sure about the doily & using the flower but I think it softens the design a little bit.

I have added a name tag at the bottom so that the Card Keepsake can be personalized, however I haven't adhered it yet as it's new owner may want it on there or maybe not :)  Choice is a wonderful thing.

So there you have it.  Ouch Edwin.
I personally think he would make a perfect 'Get Well Soon' gift, don't you?

I've popped Ouch Edwin into my

Dreamtime's Daily Glimpse - Wednesday

Here I am again :)

I have never posted so much on my blog, meaning on a day to day basis.
I like it :)

So, how has your day been?  Mine has been pretty relaxed.  I plan to spend the rest of the day finishing my Edwin design.  It isn't far from being completed.  I spent a few hours on it yesterday.  This is where I am up to :)

So far the layout is coming along ok.  I added Glossy Accents to his band aids to perk them up a little.  I have had these buttons for quite a few years so I'm glad that I have got around to using them.  The same with the plaid papers.  I'm pretty sure they are Bo-Bunny.  I've still got a few sheets of those colours left though lol.  Slowly they will be used up.

The MS Zig Zag punch is pretty new.
Actually this is the first time I've used it & I bought it back in December last year lol.  The star is a button too but I snipped off the back of it so that it would lie flat.  I have also used Ranger Inks to distress the edges.  The ribbon is out of my old stash too.  The doily I purchased from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Now all I have to do is complete the layout design, plus the inside of the card & add some details :)

Well, that is it from me today.
Thank you for coming to visit & leaving comments :)
They make it all worthwhile :)

Don't forget to pop by tomorrow.

Take care & enjoy your day.
