Apprentice Sorcerer Criss Cross Card Keepsake - Wall Decor

Hi again :)
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.

My Daughter Zoe had a few friends stay over last night in her tent which she put up in the garden.  Thankfully it wasn't as cold out as it was the last time lol.  I couldn't help her put up the tent this time though as I had a biopsy done on my left hand yesterday, complete with having stitches lol.
So now I have a hand in stitches whilst trying to create my designs lol.  It doesn't help that I am left handed either.  Oh well, life is always a challenge lol.

I have been a Guest Designer at ABC Challenges this month & this is my last design for them.

I just want to say thank you to ABC for having me.  It has been wonderful doing the challenges & a great opportunity.  Thanks so much :)

This month the ABC Challenge is X for Criss Cross.
I had never made a Criss Cross card before so this was definately a challenge for me lol.

I used the same image that I used from my previous design I posted the other day, as I always colour two images at a time.

However I used different DP's this time :)

I also used rhinestones scattered around the design.  A few more buttons from my stash too :)

I found a few star brads & also a star charm in my stash too which I think suit the design quite well :)

Another side view (sorry gotta do this quick as I am due somewhere).

Either my eyesight is playing up on me or this pic is blurry lol.
Sorry about that, I will have to re-do it later.

This design has been added to my

Lil' Sorcerer Halloween Card Keepsake

Hi again :)
Although it has been pretty quiet here on my blog for the last week (due to Zoe & I sick with the flu) I have still been able to spend some time putting a few designs together :)

The weather here has been warming up quite nicely lately so a few days ago I took my Copics & image out into the garden & sat there in the sun colouring this gorgeous little Sorcerer to life :)

This gorgeous image is from The Paper Shelter.  He was one of three images that I chose when winning one of their challenges about a month or so ago.  He was a pleasure to colour :)

I tried extremely hard not to add any flowers lol.  Instead I got my star stencil out that I have had for donkeys years & put it to good use.  Mental note: Buy a star die - can you recommend one?

I also used my circle punch which has been collecting dust & then got my hands on some buttons from my 'oldies stash'.  I purchased the twine about three months ago & finally got around to using it :)

The DP is from my oldies stash too.  The star DP is from NRN Designs...are they even still around?  The yellow plaid & purple DP's, I wouldn't even have a clue nor would like to guess as they were in my scrap stash.

I have used a few MS punches & have distressed the edges with Ranger Distress Ink - Chipped Sapphire.  The pale yellow ribbon with gold edges are from my oldies stash too.

So what items are new that are on my design? lol  That's a good question lol.  The Little Sorcerer's Apprentice image is & so is the Halloween sentiment ticket which is from Paper Cupcakes (which I also won in a challenge over at There's magic in the air).

I have decorated the inside to co-ordinate with the outside.
I think it all came together quite nicely :)

This adorable little Sorcerer has magically added this design into my

Happy Father's Day Wishes Card Keepsake

Hi everyone :)
Thank you for stopping by & coming to have a browse.
I would also like to thank & welcome all my new followers.  It is nice to know that i'm not 'chatting' to myself lol.

I am extremely excited as I have been asked to be a Guest Designer for ABC Challenges for the month of September.  I am soo thrilled & thank you very much for this wonderful opportunity :)

The next challenge at ABC Challenges is:
W for Wishes.

Well, Father's Day is just around the corner for us in Australia which is on the 2nd September.  So I thought I would create a design to celebrate this wonderful occasion :)

I chose an hAngler & stAngler image to be the spotlight of my design.  I'm not too sure of this cute little boy's name.  Maybe you could enlighten me?  He was such a pleasure to colour :)

This little boy has been out fishing for most of the day & he is obviously very good at it cos' he has brought back a big pail of fish home to his Dad for Father's Day.  Pretty cool hey?  I mean, he couldn't get more lucky if he tried...what with catching a gold fish!! lol

I had a lot of fun putting this design together.
The buttons, spirals, yarn & jute are from my oldies stash.  I was so excited to actually be able to use a whopping ten buttons that have been sitting in my button tray for quite some time :)

The DP is Fancy Pants Designs & the ribbon is from my Really Reasonable Ribbon July Club Assortment (which I get a new & different pack each & every month).  The blue brads are My Minds Eye & was also able to use another four buttons from my oldies stash :)  Woo hoo lol.

The inside has been decorated to compliment the outside of the card keepsake.

I was a bit hesitant with putting flowers on this design due to it being for a man for Father's Day but I think they compliment the design well, don't you?  Besides, the Father should think himself lucky to get flowers on his special day lol.  It's not every day a man gets flowers, right? lol

Oh, did you see the tag?  I forgot to point that out lol.
The Magnolia Doohickey Vintage Tag is a recently purchased gift
to myself :)  What???  .... Well, someone's gotta do it lol.

The sentiment on the tag is computer generated using a free font.

This adorable little boy has fished this design into my

Witch Tilda

Finally, I am able to make this post.

Ever had one of those busy weeks but yet nothing out of the ordinary has happened?

I feel like I have been out & about with so much to do but yet it doesn't really feel like I have accomplished anything lol.  It has been productive but yet nothing to show for it.  Probably because I haven't posted to you guys for a week lol.  Funny how we sometimes put ourselves into a routine & when we change it, we feel lost.  Well, I know I do lol.

I did however manage to get this design finished that I have been procrastinating about for months :)  I'm happy about that :)

Like I mentioned before, I originally coloured in Witch Tilda with my Copics quite a while ago.  I did also put part of the design together but then put it aside only for it to be left for over 12 months lol.  Never again!

I used my new Lovely Fence Magnolia Doohickey for the first time, inked it & then cut it in half.

I was going to have the fence laying flat but as I was about to pick it up to glue it down my finger got stuck underneath it & it lifted from the design & bent itself....Voila!  I thought, hmmm I wonder what it would look like bent out to give a 3D effect.  I think it worked out nicely.

I added the flowers & the whole design seemed to come to life :)

I used ribbon from my stash to go around the edge of the canvas.
I also decorated the inside of the card to compliment the design.

Here's a side view for you :)

Witch Tilda has flown into my

I am quite happy with the finished design.  I never thought I would see it complete lol.  As they say, never say never :)

Well, I had better go....
Oh oh oh...nearly forgot to tell you.  I am going to a massive craft fair tomorrow with Zoe.  It is being held at Newcastle Entertainment Centre with HEAPS of stalls :)  It will take us 2 hours to get there but I am sure it will be worthwhile.  Wooo Hoooo....I sooo can't wait :)

I had better get a move on with linking up the challenges or it will be past midnight before I get to bed lol.

Have a fantastic weekend everyone.
Thanks for stopping by & I hope you'll come back soon.

Take care & be safe
