Happy Birthday Little Lady

Good afternoon everyone.

This week I have had lovely Shop Talk Vicky helping me out with my new design. Now that I have interrupted her phone call, she tells me you can get her here.

She seems to be heading towards the shop. Oh sorry...she has just informed me that its called a 'boutique'. So sorry Vicky! Oh ..it's her boutique & its called Vicky's Boutique. Hmmm I wonder what she stocks in there? But you can get the image here.

Vicky tells me that her little friend is having a Birthday & she wanted to get some flowers, so we got them from Wild Orchid Crafts. Pretty are they not? Vicky loves pink so the Pink Tone Trellis Roses seemed really appropriate & they look gorgeous :)

Vicky is a sucker for pearls & charms so we added them too. Of course we had to match up the charm with her handbag. Hmmm, the degree we go to lol. I hope her little friend likes them :)

Vicky wanted the inside decorated as well. Pink, pink, pink! lol

We used my scraps for the corners, the hearts & just the general pink cardstock on the card. Vicky also wanted some sparkle happening so we added some Stickles to the design.

The DP's are Provo Craft & Bella Blvd which are from my oldies stash. I didn't get to use anything else from my Oldies Stash this week but will try to do better next week :)

Vicky & myself are pretty happy with the design & had lots of fun putting it together :)

If you look close enough you can see that I have used Glossy Accents on Vicky's sunnies, belt, her mobile phone, the boutique windows & the sign on top of the roof. We also glossed up her shoes too :)

I have also specifically used the R59 Copic colour for a challenge that I am going to enter this design into.

Some Bunny Loves You

Well it's that time of the week again :)

Wow, I wish I wouldn't leave things to the last minute lol. I have got SO many things happening this weekend and during the past week that I didn't think I would get this design completed in time for the next Delightful Challenges project. But I made it ...phew! lol

Have you met Easter Daisy before? Isn't she just gorgeous with those cute little bunny ears & slippers? Easter Daisy has been helping me out with my new design but she told me that she needed something to sit on, so we decided on the Toadstool Set. Of course, they are also wonderful images from Digital Delights :)

Easter Daisy & I had a fantastic time with the new challenge that is happening right now at Delightful Challenges. This week we are challenging you to design something about 'Love'. Perfect with Valentine's Day coming up :) You can check out the challenge details here.

I had alot of fun creating this design. I hope you like it :)

I have had this red & white ribbon for about ten yrs, so I am sooo glad I was able to use it. I'm happy to say that there isn't anymore of this ribbon left...Woo Hoo lol. It feels really good to finally get another item out of my 'Oldies Stash' :)

The 'Love' charm I only got a few weeks ago, but the heart buttons are from my Oldies Stash too. I still have a few of those left but I'm sure I will get to use them all up one day :)

I used the Romance Sentiment Set from Digital Delights too.

The Doily & flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The DP is from Bo Bunny Designs which is also from my 10 yr Oldies Stash & so is the cardstock that I used. Do you know that I have about 6 sheets of the 12 x 12 Bo Bunny DP? What was I thinking? lol

I guess I bought so much of it cos' I was going to use them for my scrapbook pages...which I hardly do anymore. Hmmmm lol.

I also decorated the inside of the card & used another image from Digital Delights called Tree of Love which may I add has a 30% discount right now. It's a delightful image to colour :)

I hope you have all had a fantastic week.

I haven't been up to much, just still looking for a new house for us to live in. Hopefully something will turn up soon :) Whilst waiting for that to happen, I may as well keep on craftin' my designs :)

Here is my latest design. I hope you like it :)

I finally got my parcel from Wild Orchid Crafts the other day (just in time for this design) & I had a wonderful time using some of the many new flowers I got :)

I also used Digital Delights Prayer Sentiment set which you can find here.

I also added some Glossy Accents to the button on the back of the little guys pj's.

For those of you who have been following my blog would know that I have been making it my mission to ensure I use supplies from my 'Oldies Stash'.

You would probably be amazed with how much of my stash has been totally neglected throughout the years. It's amazing! ...and sad really lol.

So here is what I have used from the Oldies Stash on this design.

* 7 Eyelets (got hundreds left)

* Buckeye Cardstock (nearly all gone)

* 5 Brads

* 2 Buttons (got thousands left lol)

* 2 Jump rings

So far so good :)

I am also going to enter this design into another challenge where I could only use specific colour Copics. So I chose to use BG93, BG96 & R59. Not only did I use them to colour my little Prayer Boy image, but I also coloured the pearls with my BG96 & R59 Copics. They look pretty good don't you think?

This is my first time using Seam Binding Ribbon which is also new :)

I ordered about four different colours so I'm sure you will be seeing them all pretty soon lol.

I also used my new Martha Stewart Branch punch, Lace Edger punch & my Die-namics Fancy Flourish.

Stitching with my sewing machine wasn't all that fun lol I still have a very long way to go in regards to perfection lol.

I love my Colorbox Cats Eye Fluid Chalk Ink which I most definately have to get more colours of.

I used my Heart punch for the inside of the design & placed the two buttons on top of each heart & then placed my R59 Copic coloured pearl on top of that :) The hearts are popped up to add more dimension.

So that's my design for this week :) I can't wait to see yours over at Delightful Challenges.

You're The Best Picture Frame

Hi everyone :)

It has been a very interesting and busy week.

We are looking to move & hope to do so in the next few weeks so I have been busy checking places out to look for our new home. Wish me luck :)

I am running late with this weeks posting for Delightful Challenges, so I had better get on with it lol.

This week we are challenging you to create a design that is

'Valentines Anything but a Card'.

I simply had to have Daisy & Dylan sitting together on the bench so I used the wonderful Daisy Accessories Set which you can also find here.

I think the 'You're The Best' Sentiment was a perfect touch :) You can find it here.

I decided to design a picture frame for this challenge as I had a few at home that was bought for this purpose. However, I sanded it down & painted it white. I then added some pearls to it. I love the effect it gives & totally looks like a brand new picture frame totally different from its original look :)

My Tip: Purchase some old photo frames at your local Thrift / Second hand shop, you will be amazed how many you can find. Take them home, clean them up, sand them down & paint them in accordance to the colour you would prefer. Simply adhere your design onto the frame backing. Use a staple gun to add some ribbon on the back & voila you have a new picture to hang on your wall :)

I used my new Doo Hickey, MS Branch punch & added Liquid pearls to the old button that I found in my stash :) The beads & cardstock are from my old stash too :)

I added Glossy Accents to their shoes & also to the back of the bench. I don't think you can see it too clearly but it really 'lifted' the park bench & added to the dimension of the image. Quite happy :)

I also used a heart charm but unfortunately when I took the photo I didn't notice that it wasn't facing forward. I guess I was in a hurry to get this design on my blog lol.

Oh I nearly forgot to tell you that the DP's are actually digital papers which were a free download but for the life of me I can't remember where I got them from. However, I will check it out & update this post with the correct details & the link so that you can go and get it if you like. This is the first time that I have used digital papers & I was quite impressed with how they turned out :)

I also used the lace & ribbon which are from my 'oldie stash' lol. I'm doing pretty good with including all the old stuff that have been sitting there doing nothing for months..some of it years lol.

As you have probably figured out by now, I took the glass frame insert out. I didn't want to be limited with the dimension of the design. However I am extremely happy with it & the way it turned out :)
